How it helps ELL For an ELL student, all of these activities are extremely important for visual representation of the history of words and word structure. The English language is overwhelming and it must be seen, not only heard. Making connections visually and through the physical work of manipulating words through blending, compounding, and prefixes/suffixes will allow the ELL student to see how and why we use these words. Giving a foundation of words origin and meaning continues to make the language more concrete. |
